I have been working through my Life Book 2020 lessons and really loved this particular lesson by Toni Burt. She made an air dry clay pot and took it one step further embellishing it with beads and wires. The result? Fabulous!
In the lesson, the clay that was used behaves like ceramic clay. I, of course, used Creative Paperclay® and love my results, no cracking at all! I rolled out the clay and draped it over a jar that I had covered with cling wrap. I stamped the word “Faith” made some holes and left it to dry. I then stained it and added wire and beads. The wire was too shiny so to keep in with the rustic look of the clay pot I used Art Anthology’s Rust Set to make my wires look aged. I love the result!
This piece is the inspiration for all of you that want to make your own mixed media masterpiece and enter it into the Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge.

An amazing clay pot Suzette. It looks like an authentic vintage relic. Lovely bead and wire decoration xx
Wow, what an amazing make! I loved seeing how it was made and the bead and wire decoration finishes it beautifully 😀. I’m so excited and honored to be part of this super talented design team, thanks so much! Happy February! Hugs, Jo x
