Hello, today I am sharing a mixed media canvas I made for the Creative Mixed Media Challenge blog. I wanted to try out stamping on fabric and adding some stitch work to the piece.

I used watercolor markers to color the image. The colors bled a bit but I still loved the image. I stained the fabric with black tea and added some Sepia Golden Fluid Acrylic to the edges.
The background is acrylic paint with splashes of Sepia Golden Fluid Acrylic. I used punchinella and pigment to add in some texture and also a rubber stamp. To finish off I added a chipboard word on a piece of handmade paper.
I think it came out pretty good don’t you? As I mentioned before, I sharing this piece on the Creative Artiste Mixed Media Blog. They have a monthly mixed media challenge on their blog. Anything goes, as long as it is mixed media! You can add up to three pieces in each monthly challenge for a chance to win a prize. Be sure to check it out!
Before I go I just want you to tell you that I am teaching in Art Walk Alchemy 2020! You can find all the details here. Please be sure to check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
Thanks for stopping by!

Suzette What a brilliant idea to ink up that lovely image on fabric and great colouring too. Super background. Amazing piece of art.

I love these soft subtle neutrals and then that blush of rose on Alice’s dress. The frayed fabric makes a wonderful fringed frame.
