Hello, you know how much I love up-cycling right? Well I did a rather amazing up cycling project for Art Anthology recently using a sardine tin.

First I covered those sharp edges with washi tape and then added some book paper and gesso. I used the Rust Set by Art Anthology to to give it that old, rusty tin look. I sealed it with varnish and finished off by adding some embellishments.

Of course, there is a tutorial including a video on the Art Anthology blog! Be sure to stop by and see exactly how I made this. There are new tutorials added all the time. How amazing is that? You can buy their products in the online store.
I love this piece so much I want to share it with as many people as possible so I decided to enter it in the Bleeding Art September Challenge, More Mixed Media Challenge Blog and Mix It Up Challenge.
Before I go I just want you to tell you that I am teaching in Art Walk Alchemy 2020! You can find all the details here. Please be sure to check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
Thanks for stopping by!
