Hello! Welcome to my blog! For my Creative Paperclay Design Team post this month I am doing an upcycling project. What really is upcycling?
Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.
A lot of artists repurpose items that others would normally throw away. I am no exception. I use them for the insides of lot of my sculptures with both plaster and air dry clays. I look at a bottle and see a doll or a cat, a box can make a base for a sculpture and a bottle or jar can make a mushroom or fairy house. An old paintbrush is no exception.
This month my project turns an old paintbrush, the type you use to paint the walls, into a fun sculpture that you can hang on your wall.
It is easier than you think. You only need few simple supplies. For the full list and instructions click here. It will take you directly to the blog post at creativepaperclay.blogspot.com.
If there is anything you would like to see me make, leave a comment below and I will try my best to accommodate you.
