Cold Porcelain Clay

Cold porcelain clay can be made at home with only a few basic ingredients. It is a very soft clay that is easy to manipulate and great for kids (with supervision of course) or arthritic hands. It dries rock hard.

It is also similar to working gumpaste and all those fabulous wilton tools and cutters can be used with the clay. It  can also be coloured ahead of time which is useful when making flowers. These flowers on my fairy sculpture were made using cold porcelain clay.

Sanjeeta Shah has a fabulous recipe which is what I use. She shows you how to make the clay in this following video.
